Take out college essay Draft # 1 and answer the following questions:

1. How do you feel about your first draft? Be specific.
2. What message are you trying to convey about yourself?
3. How does this essay distinguish you from other potential applicants?
4. In terms of technique, how do you tell the story? (Flashback, linear, symbolism, dialog, suspense, etc.)

SWBAT:

1. Reflect on their first attempt at college essay writing.
2. Assess the creative writing of other students.
3. Begin brainstorming on essay draft # 2.
